A Note from The Bonds~
We were College Sweethearts meeting at Barclay College in Haviland, Kansas. Right from College we went into Ministry…We served Marriages and Family for 17 years, before we felt God was telling us to Plant a church…Compel Community Church was planted in 2013. We want church to be about Relationship….As it is the very heart of Jesus to have Relationship with each of us, we want to cultivate an environment that would encourage it….So we Gather around Round tables…There will always be a seat for you.
COMPELS Heart is for the Widows, Orphans, Homeless and those in need, so once a month the church closes its doors and the church goes out to the Widow in need to serve her by helping her in her distress and need. James 1:27,”Religion that God our Father accepts as Pure and Faultless is this, Look after widows & Orphans in their distress and keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
Compel partners to help Second Ave Homeless Shelter and One Church as they feed the hungry every Sunday…You’ll usually find Compel Church Going Out to where they are on Christmas Eve Service and Good Friday…Our hearts are truly to meet the need of the less fortunate. For them to know God sees them, loves them and they are Not Forgotten. Psalm 9:18,”But God will never forget the needy.”
We’ve been married 25 years and are Crazy Blessed with 4 children! Our oldest daughter Lexie just finished her first year of college and is adulting well with 2 jobs…Docker our 18 year old son will be starting his freshman year @ Grand Canyon University with his focus on Premed, he stays very busy working at the Boys and Girls Club…when he’s not working he is happiest with his family and hanging with his friends & Youth group. Our Mia who is 14 will be heading into Highschool this fall… She is busy with volleyball, Youth Group, and her Young Life group.
