A note from the David & Ranell
“We are college sweethearts who met at Barclay College in Haviland, Kansas. Right from college we went into ministry. We served in marriage and family for 17 years. A shift came in our ministry as God was leading us in the direction of planting a church. Compel Community Church was planted in 2013. We want church to be about relationship. The very heart of Jesus is to have relationship with Him and each other. “
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I with them.” - Matthew 18:20
About The Bonds
We’ve been married 30 years, and have three adult children while still raising our Ethiopian blessing. Our family is our greatest life’s work! We love serving our church & community. David is very involved with the Coeur d’Alene Ministerial Association with a great pulse on our communities needs. Ranell is a Holistic Biblical Counselor and Christian Health Mentor. She partners with David to run Hope4.5k, and is in the last stages of publishing her book that tells the story of their adoption.
As adoptive parents we feel very strongly that, with 163 million orphans, we CANNOT look away. We must look for ways to help bring an orphan from ‘hope’ to ‘home’.
With our hearts for the orphan and David being a 5x Ironman & multiple marathoner, we put these two passions together and Hope4.5k was founded! We hold an annual Orphan Run in our city for a family who is currently in the adoption process. feel free to go check it out!
